Inequality by Gender, Race/Ethnicity, and Nativity in High-Skilled Labor Markets
Despite the great strides women and racial/ethnic minorities have made in education, labor market inequality along these dimensions persists in the United States. This project investigates the sources of gender and racial/ethnic inequality among highly-educated workers by focusing on the school-to-work transition—that is, how educational credentials translate into labor market positions. We operationalize this mechanism by education-occupation mismatch and distinguish different dimensions of mismatch. More information will be available soon. |
