Ye Tian
Biography
I am a second-year Ph.D. student at Department of Statistics, Columbia University and currently supervised by Professor Yang Feng. I was born in Huainan, which is a small city of China famous for its long history and the delicious tofu there. Prior to Columbia, I did my undergrad in statistics at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and was advised by Professor Weiping Zhang. My research interests are mainly relative to machine learning and high-dimensional statistics, including classification, transfer learning and variable selection etc. Besides research, I love photography, travelling and reading (especially books about history).
