Using the VCR

Startup
  1. Power on:
    1. VCR Power Button on Unit.
    2. If Crestron Touch Pad Unit screen is dark, touch the Crestron screen to turn on unit screen.
    3. Touch portion of screen labeled, "Welcome to Columbia University."
    4. On the MAIN MENU, touch portion of screen labeled, "VIDEO."
    5. On the VIDEO menu, touch portion of the screen labeled, "VCR1."
  2. VCR Controls
    1. The VCR can be easily controlled through the VCR menu of the Crestron Touch Pad. Play, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward, Pause, Search Rewind, and Search Forward are all available options on the unit. The buttons on the VCR unit itself are also fully operational.
  3. Other Options
    1. To view the VCR image full-scale on the Touch Screen, press the gray box in the lower left hand corner of the Touch Screen. Simply touch the screen to return to the controls. To record the VCR image, press the "SEND TO REC" button.
  4. Sound
    1. Program Volume can be adjusted with the UP/DOWN arrows and MUTE Buttons on the VCR menu or the ROOM CONTROL menu of the Crestron Unit.
Shutdown

Power off:
  1. VCR:
    1. Power Button on VCR unit.
  2. Crestron Touch Pad:
    1. Touch MAIN MENU button. Touch EXIT on the MAIN MENU. When prompted with "Are you sure you want to EXIT and turn OFF the AV System?" touch the portion of the screen that says, "Yes, System OFF."
Troubleshooting
  1. No sound:
    1. Toggle MUTE button in ROOM CONTROL->PROGRAM VOLUME menu on the Crestron Unit.
