The Visual Arts Master of Fine Arts Program at the School of the Arts attracts emerging artists of unusual promise from around the world. Rigorous programs in art history and art education at the undergraduate and graduate levels support distinct facets of the arts.

The Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Art Gallery, now located in the Lenfest Center for the Arts building on Columbia's new Manhattanville campus, presents exhibitions and related programming that reflect Columbia’s diversity of approaches to the arts and its high standards for research and instruction. Beyond campus, Columbia’s commitment to exposing students in all disciplines to the arts is embodied in Passport to Museums, a program of the Arts Initiative that offers all undergraduate and graduate students free admission to more than 30 museums in the city.
