Recharge with therapy dogs, enjoy calming activities, and support local animal shelters and hospitals, all in one restorative space at Paws & Pause. Start in our Therapy Dog Comfort Zone, then explore hands-on stations designed to nurture both you and our four-legged neighbors across NYC.
What you can look forward to:
- Spend time with therapy dogs, courtesy of Alice! Health Promotion and New York Therapy Dogs (available on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Therapy Dogs are only available from 11:30 to 12:30 PM)
- Build DIY dog toys for local animal rescue organizations using upcycled scrap fabrics (all materials provided; BYO scraps encouraged)
- Create treat bags for shelter donations
- Craft affirmations and uplifting notes for adopters, pet parents, and shelter staff
- Relax with animal-themed calming activities like Paint-a-Pup Succulent Planters, button making, diamond painting, and decorating your own “pet rock” companion
- Assemble a “Blind Box Mini Build” (Furry Friend Edition)
- Enjoy tea, hot cocoa, and other comforting bites

Whether you’re looking to de-stress or give back, this event offers warmth, connection, and a little wag-worthy joy for everyone. All students are welcome. Entry is available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last and until we reach capacity.
