Professor Ben O'Shaughnessy was awarded a grant of $1.5 million by NIH to study the mechanisms of cell division.
Cell division is one of the most basic processes which define life. Professor O'Shaughnessy is investigating how cells assemble and then operate the microscopic machinery which physically divides the cell into two pieces.
