New Approaches to Decoding the Genome
"Professor Jingyue Ju of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Columbia Genome Center has received a new $950,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue developing a novel molecular engineering approach to decipher the human genome on a chip. As Head of DNA Sequencing and Chemical Biology of the Columbia Genome Center and Director of the Center for Genome Technology and Biomolecular Engineering, Professor Ju leads an interdisciplinary team of researchers that has received a total of $6.5 million in NIH grants since the federal agency launched its initiative in 2004 to develop revolutionary technologies and approaches for decoding the genome."
