1873             Francis Rivington, of Waterloo place and St Paul's Churchyard, Bookseller,
son of Charles Rivington, Master 1819 ; died 7th January, 1885.

1874          - William Watson, of St Ann's lane. Printer ; died 16th April, 1886.

1875             William Good, of King William street, formerly of Coleman street.
Stationer; died 22nd August, 1884.

1876             Charles Rivington, of Fenchurch buildings, Solicitor, son of Charles
Rivington, Master 1819, Clerk of the Company from 1829 to 1869; died 4th
August, 1876.

1877             William Rivington, of St John's square, Clerkenwell, Printer, son of
Charles Rivington, Master 1819 ; died 12th November, 1888.

1878             George Chater, of Cannon street, Wholesale Stationer; died 30th
October, 1892.

1879             Francis Wyatt Truscott, of Suffolk lane. Cannon street. Printer, Alderman
of the Ward of Dowgate, served the office of Sheriff 1871 and received the honour
of knighthood. Lord Mayor 1879.

1880             James Figgins, of Farringdon street. Type Founder, Alderman of the Ward
of Farringdon Without, and J.P. for Middlesex, formerly Member of Parliament for
Shrewsbury; died I2th June, 1884. He bequeathed £3000 5 per Cent. Oude and
Rohilkund Railway Stock to the Company to found a Charity for aged, sick and
worn out Compositors.    He also bequeathed other monies to the Company.

1881             Richard William Starkey, of 27 New Bridge street, Wholesale Stationer;
died 12th February, 1890.

1882             Joseph Johnson Miles, of 32 Paternoster row, and Millfield lane, Highgate,
Bookseller, J.P. for Middlesex; died 1st November, 1884.

1883             John Miles, of Stationers' Hall Court and Friern Barnet, Middlesex, head
of the firm of Simpkin, Marshall & Co., Wholesale Booksellers, Governor of the
New River Company ; died 5th May, 1886.

1884             Charles Layton, of Farringdon street Buildings, Wholesale Stationer; died
10th March, 1888.

1885             Edmund Waller, of St Mary Abbott's terrace, Kensington, formerly of
49 Fleet street, Bookseller; a descendant of the poet Edmund Waller, and a
generous benefactor to the Company. He placed three stained glass windows in
Stationers' Hall; their subjects being St Cecilia, William Tyndale, and William
Caxton.

1886             Thomas Curson Hansard, of Fairfield, West Kensington, Barrister at Law,
Proprietor of Hansard's Parliamentary Debates; died 12th November, 1891.

1887             Alderman Sir Francis Wyatt Truscott (see under date 1879).
