Biography

EDUCATION:

Ph.D. 1998, Univ. de Louvain

RESEARCH:

"I am an experimental high-energy particle physicist primarily interested in beyond the standard model physics.  Currently my research is focused on direct searches at hadron colliders: I am actively involved in the D0 experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron and the ATLAS experiment at CERN's LHC, and have held leadership positions in both experiments.  I am also interested in hardware development.  I led the development and implementation of D0's state-of-the-art data acquisition system and am now pursuing R&D for the sLHC.  In the past I have searched for neutrino oscillations and studied the proton structure."
