Professor Fredrick C. Harris and Professor Robert Y. Shapiro are among nine recipients of 2012 Distinguished Columbia Faculty Awards.

Established by Columbia alumnus and trustee Gerry Lenfest, the Distinguished Columbia Faculty Awards recognize exceptional teaching and mentoring in the Arts and Sciences. Winners receive a stipend of $25,000 per year for three consecutive years and will be honored at a dinner on campus on March 1.
