Professor Andrew Nathan, a China scholar and human rights advocate for more than thirty-five years, has recently been interviewed about what the 2008 Beijing Olympics may mean for China.

Nathan, the Class of 1919 Professor of Political Science, discussed the political and social ramifications of China's hosting of the Olympics with the New York Times blog "Rings."

In a video produced by Columbia University, Professor Nathan describes the Beijing games as one of the most political Olympic games in at least a generation.
