meditaiton: a series



TRACT along with Art of Living, Bhakti, and the Columbia University Buddhist Association is proud to announce our series of events on meditation starting this Friday 4/13.  

Columbia can be a stressful place, especially as we approach finals.  How can meditation help us? Why do people meditate at all? What is meditation? 

Join us for a series of events dedicated to exploring the various aspects of meditation and also convenient opportunities to try it yourself! 


FRIDAY 4/13, 5-6:30 pm, Satow room

“The Neuroscience of Meditation,” a lecture by Professor Zoran Josipovic, NYU

MONDAY 4/16, 6-7:30 pm, Broadway room
“Meditation and Compassion,” a conversation with Doyeon Park, Columbia Buddhist Chaplain
*followed by a brief meditation session

TUESDAY 4/17, 5:30-7 pm, Broadway Room
“Meditation and Vegetarianism,” a casual cooking class and free dinner with the Bhakti club

WEDNESDAY 4/18, 5:30-7 pm, Room 568
“Meditation and College Life,” a student panel and open discussion 
*followed by a brief meditation session
