The largest in scope of TRACT's undertakings, the meeting of eastern and western thought, perhaps better put, the comparision and synthesis of dominant worldviews, spans an incredibly rich field of investigation and exchange.
Since its founding, TRACT has worked to uncover connections in diverse fields such as philosophy, political theory, physics, psychology, etc. Because of its immense scope, the meeting of eastern and western thought cannot be approached as the subject of a single investigation. Instead, TRACT treats it as an underlying theme of transdisciplinary research. For ultimately, the project is not about combining the dominant views of the East with those of the West, for "East" and "West" are already loosing their meaning. Rather, TRACT hopes that through investigating the connections between East and West, we can transcend the conceptual boxes that makes us think in "East" and "West" in the first place.
