You can set up DB2 on the workstation to be a database server for clients or applications that use Distributed Relational Database Architecture (DRDA). The DRDA Application Server (AS) feature enables DB2 to function as a database server for DRDA Application Requesters.
DRDA AS is installed automatically with your DB2 server. However, there are some steps required to set up the connection with an Application Requester. These steps are described in this section.
