Fomepizole for the Treatment of Ethylene Glycol Poisoning

• 23 consecutive patients with confirmed or possible ethylene glycol poisoning

• Fomepizole administered IV

• Treatment continued to until plasma ethylene glycol level < 20 mg/dl

• Hemodialysis begun for acidosis, rising creatinine, or initial ethylene glycol concentration > 50 mg/dl
