Test Your ConnectionClick Start -> Settings -> Network and Dial-up Connections -> Columbia A. Enter your CUIT account ID and password at the login screen and then click Dial. You will see a dialog box indicating your modem is dialing. You are now connected to Columbia A. Click OK. To disconnect, exit from each network program you started. Double-click the terminal icon and then click Disconnect on the status screen to end your connection to Columbia A. Configure for DHCPThe default configuration that comes with the Operating Systems is the correct configuration for DHCP. To check this, go to Start then Settings then Control Panel. Select Network, right-click on Local Area Connection and then select Properties. Select TCP/IP protocol and select Properties. Verify that under the General tab, Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are selected. |
