Upon the beginning of their sophomore year,
the CCSC Class of 2008 drafted an ambitious
advising program between upperclassmen and the
incoming first-years.
The Columbia University Big Buddy Program became
an initiative to provide all incoming
first-years with a valuable relationship with an
older peer. Within the program every
participating member of the Columbia University
Class of 2009 is paired with a similar
upperclassmen, based upon a series of questions.
Big Buddies serves as a peer advisor and friend
in order to pick up where FYSAAC leaves off.
Once paired, a series of programming is provided
throughout the year to give buddies
opportunities to interact and build a valuable
relationship.
