Hey all,

Are you as excited about Columbia Football this year as I am? Let’s keep the momentum going by cheering them on at their next game against our quasi-rivals, Princeton. To make it easy to do that, we have arranged with Michelle Oh and the new athletics promotions team for Columbia Fan buses to take fans to Princeton. The buses will leave from 116th and Amsterdam on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Bring your friends and wear some light blue. Also, keep posted for a study break next week, organized by Kevin Khoung and the Student Life Committee, and save room on your calendar for Graffiti Night. The event, which will be co-sponsored by the Engineering and Barnard ’08 / ’09 councils, is being headed by Tom Sansani and the Campus Events Committee. More details to follow, but know to keep your schedules open on October 15 between 10 PM and 12 AM in the Lerner Party Space. This will be our first major event, and one of the more original Columbia has seen.

On a final note, Calvin Sun has been working hard to perfect the CCSC 2008 website. So check out what’s going on with council and give it a visit @ http://www.columbia.edu/cu/cc2008/.

Have a good weekend,

Isaac Silverman

4) Join the Performing Arts Space Advocacy Group!

The Performing Arts Space Advocacy Group(PASAG) is a CCSC committee that has a three-fold mission: to identify the space needs of undergraduate student groups active in the performing arts, to serve as a resource for administrators and student government members considering these needs, and to initiate and advocate for proposals in order to address these needs.

Student group use of Miller Theater is determined by PASAG on an application basic. The committee meets bi-weekly. If you are interested in applying, please contact [email protected]. The application deadline is Thursday, September 29th.

5) Gumbo Drive for Katrina!

Dining Services and a corps of concerned students have joined forces to roll out Operation Commander's Gumbo, preparing the spicy mélange with the official recipe of the world-famous Commander's Palace restaurant in the heart of the Crescent City. 7) Q: How many Princeton students does it take to screw in a lightblub?

A: Sigh. The Alumni pay people to do things like that for us.
