Hey all,

So last spring Michelle and I promised you that we would develop a program for Juniors that was like Urban NY, but better. It has arrived: URBAN '08. Here's the deal: we find great events around New York, open the lottery to Juniors, and draw names. If your name is drawn, you get TWO free tickets for you and a friend. This week we've got VIP tickets to Showtime at the Apollo hosted by Whoopi Goldberg.

11:00am to 2:00pm: The Apollo Theater

Join us for the first URBAN '08 event of the year at the legendary Apollo Theater, enjoy our VIP seats, and watch Whoopi Goldberg host! Email

2. YOUNG ALUMNI DINNER with Sarah Case CC'01, performer/dancer
WEDNESDAY Oct. 4
7:00pm to 8:30 PM

Join Sarah Case at a local restaurant for dinner and discussion. Sarah has worked in theatre and dance since graduating in 2001. Recent work includes dancing in the National Tour of the Tony award winning musical, Contact, and performing at Avery Fisher Hall in Peter and the Wolf last fall. She is currently producing a musical for the New York Musical Theatre Festival. She will talk about her experiences in theatre, dance, film and television.

3. "Read All About It" panel with CC and SEAS alumni
TUESDAY Sept. 26
7:00pm to 8:30pm: C.P. Davis Auditorium in Schapiro Building (next to Mudd)

Join CC and SEAS alumni currently working in print or electronic media for presentation and networking.

Guests this year include Michael Azerrad CC'83, editor in chief eMusic and author of the popular book, Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground 1981-1991; Kirsten Danis CC'92, deputy city editor New York Post; Jonathan Lemire CC'01, reporter New York Daily News; Hoa Nguyen EN'93, J'01, reporter Greenwich Times.

Reception will follow panel presentation.
