Want to be the Director of Technology for CCSC?

Want to get involved in CCSC?  Enjoy making websites?  The council has
created a new position: the Director of Technology.  The DOT will be
an appointed CCSC member for the academic year 2007 - 2008.  The  DOT
will be expected to attend the weekly CCSC meeting (every Sunday @
8pm) and be responsible for all technology related CCSC work,
including creating and updating the CCSC website. If you are
interested in applying for the position, we ask that you e-mail the
link to a website you have created to Michelle Diamond @
[email protected].  Please send the e-mail blurb to Michelle by
Monday, May 7th.  The board as a whole will vote on the website we
like best and contact everyone by May 18th.

This year members of CCSC have been working with administrators
from Arts&Sceinces to reform the course evaluation system. As it
stands, different departments use different forms to evaluate their
professor performance. What we are trying to do is introduce a new
form that is standardized across departments so inter-department
comparisons can be feasible. CCSC's long-term goal is to someday
make some of these results public but in the short-run we need to
work on a standardized form. In order to support this effort, we
encourage you to fill out the course evaluation form in courseworks
titled "A&S wide Course Evaluation."

If you have any questions, please contact Alidad Damooei (aad2130)
or Neda Navab (nn2126)

Donate Your Stuff!
May 9 - 11, 2007
12:00am to 4:00pm

Eco-Reps, in conjunction with Housing & Dining,  Great Forest,
Salvation Army,  City Harvest, and Per Scholas, have organized a
campaign to help make donating your stuff to local charities easy
during Move-Out.

Simply bring your unwanted items to a drop-off location instead of
throwing them in the trash.

We'll take care of the rest.

DROP-OFF LOCATIONS (12-4pm)
May 9: Wien Court
May 10: College Walk
May 11: 114th and Broadway

ITEMS TO DONATE

food, clothing, kitchenware, appliances, accessories, small furniture,
books, computers, printers, etc.
large furniture: Please fill out a work order ticket to have very
large pieces of furniture (two-seater, couch, table, etc.) removed
prior to May 6th. They will be brought to a local charity.  *Salvation
Army will provide tax-receipt slips at the drop-off locations for
those who want them.

OTHER INFORMATION
If you miss the drop off days you can still turn your trash into
someone else's treasure. Try  Freecycle or  Craigslist before heading
to the dumpster.

If you have any questions, call the Hospitality Desk at 212.854.2779.

Thanks for helping Columbia go green.
