Hey Seniors!
 
We're kicking Homecoming Week off with a bang. Actually, with a pie ... in the face ... of your favorite Seniors. Join us today, Monday, on Low Plaza at 1pm for Texas Rotisserie, and the chance to pie the characters of the Class of 2008. The guest lineup is below, and includes Athletes, Editors in Chief, Presidents, and more.


So how do you really feel about my class emails? Here's your chance to tell it to my face. See you this afternoon!

1. The College Years ...
"If it had not been for the generous financial aid that I have received from Columbia I most certainly would not have been able to attend. There was doubt as to whether or not my family would be able to put me through college at all, never mind an Ivy League institution. Nonetheless, thanks to Columbia I have been able to become the first member of my family to ever go to and complete a college degree. I have had the most amazing four years I could have ever hoped for. Being involved in multiple activities and organizations, forging lifelong friendships, and developing an appreciation for knowledge are just a few of the things that Columbia has done for me." -Dan Free

Michelle Diamond: CCC Student Body President and [is ready to get creamed by everyone who likes to post about her on the BWOG. She actually loves pie, so bring it on]  

 
Calvin Sun : Vice President of the Senior Class, President of the Asian American Alliance, and breakdancer on Raw Elementz and [is incredibly terrified of messing up his hair today]

Eat the Quakers for Breakfast! Beat Penn!
Brought to you by CCSC '09
11:30AM-1PM

In anticipation of our Saturday 10/13 homecoming vs the UPenn
Quakers,
the Columbia College class of 2009 invites you to chow down on some
Quaker oatmeal to provide you with a morning boost and preview the
kind of feast our Lion football team will enjoy come Saturday.  We
will also feature "Thumb Wrestling with the Football Players of '09"
(returning champion, offensive lineman, Ralph DeBernardo will be
there
to defend his crown with his posse).  Show up for hot oatmeal, cold
milk, orange juice, and intense thumb wrestling (and you can
register
to vote, too!!).

4. On October 10th, the Class of 2010 bring you…

GET BLUE TO WIN BLUE!
Hype up for homecoming at the ROUGH N' READY spirit rally sponsored
by
the Columbia College Class of 2010.  Come out to Low Plaza at 6pm on
10/10 to deck yourself out in BLUE face/body paint, spirit gear,
etc...and you could win FREE JET BLUE ROUND TRIP TICKETS to anywhere
Jet Blue services!  FREE PIZZA + BBQ will also be served...all
courtesy of CC2010.  Do come for a good initial round of Columbia
victory and Penn bashing.  Roar lions roar!

5. On October 11th, the class of 2011 (whose election is being
decided as I type) bring you….

Something Awesome!  We'll be working with our brand new council
members to help them bring to you a fantastic Homecoming event
their very first week in office.

6. On October 12th, your executive board + your clubs + SEAS + GS +
Barnard  + your Res Life staff bring you…

The FIRST EVER Homecoming Carnival!
Amsterdam Bridge 12pm – 3pm

Carnival games, TONS OF FREE FOOD and fun will be taking over the
bridge over Amsterdam on Friday, October 12 from 12 to 3 pm to get
everyone pumped up for HOMECOMING!!  Your campus clubs are teaming
up with us to bring you FREE face painting, fortune telling, a
freak show, blow up games, homecoming T-shirts and most
importantly: carnival food (Think FUNNEL CAKES, cotton candy, hot
dogs and more!)

Saturday, October 13th our very own Columbia Lions prepare to take
down the Pennsylvania Quakers.  Come out and support the team!

8. Manhunt!

Have you been itching for an excuse to run around campus tagging people, or to sneak around campus in the dark?  Who hasn't, you might be asking.  Well the SEAS 2008 Class Council is about to make your dreams a reality with...

 

                        Manhunt: Volume I

 

The rules of Manhunt are simple: in one round, get to the enemy base without getting captured (tagged); in the other, capture those trying to get to your base.  If you're up for the challenge, the excitement, and all the havoc wreaking you can handle, sign up!  For more information and to register, go to

The game is open to any undergraduate student.  You may sign up as an individual or as a group.
