Columbia Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Columbia faculty and staff may receive confidential counseling and referral services for themselves and their families by calling the Employee Development Center (EDC). These services are staffed with skilled professionals who are experienced in providing crisis intervention and a wide range of counseling and consultation services. EDC currently provides employee assistance services to Teachers College and many large organizations in the New York area.

To receive assistance, Columbia faculty and staff may call 212-935-3030 Monday - Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 5:30 p.m., or 1-800-327-9092 (outside New York). For urgently needed assistance outside regular business hours, EDC provides on-call coverage that faculty and staff may access by calling 1-800-327-9092 on a 24-hour, seven-day-week basis.

Support Tent

The support tent is a center for information on events, classes, counseling, places to make donations, and community happenings.

Information about the Name Reading:
There will be a reading of names in remembrance of the victims of September 11th, 2001 from 2 P.M. until 9 P.M. at the Sundial on College Walk. Students, faculty, and staff are all encouraged to take part in this tribute. Would you like to participate? All those that are interested may sign up for 5-minute time slots at the Support Tent on Low Plaza.
