Columbia University 1968 - Photo #59 - After first bust

These photos were in the Spring 1968 issue of Columbia College Today. The caption notes that the two photos on the left are from Low Library "the morning after", and the two on the right are from Math, "the most vandalized of the buildings." I don't know about Math, but we did not make the mess in Low. We didn't topple bookcases, throw trash all over, or write graffiti. We straightened the place up, cleaned the bathroom, and vacuumed, just as we did every day after the first. As perhaps the only military veteran in Low, I was kind of in charge of the cleaning detail given my vast experience in the field. Any disorder in the President's office, aside from the axe-splintered door and possible broken barricade furniture, took place after we left.
