Howard Eskin
Howard Eskin, early 1980s.
Howard a Computer Science professor in the Engineering School and a full-time employee of the Computer Center in the days when there was still a close connection between the two. At first he was manager of the Systems Group (from the IBM 360/91 days through the DEC-20 era, and then when Bruce Gilchrist stepped down as Competer Center Director in 1985, Howard took over until he left Columbia a few years later.
