IBM PC/AT
The IBM PC/AT, IBM's first fully 16-bit PC, based on the Intel 80286 central
processor with a 24-bit address bus allowing access to 16MB RAM, with a
built-in 20MB hard disk. Released in 1984 and retired in 1987 in favor of
the IBM PS/2. This was regarded by many as the first "serious" PC. It was
capable of running different operating systems including MS/PC-DOS, OS/2,
PC/IX, SCO Xenix, and early versions of MS Windows.
