DEC Large Computer Group thing
Smooth Sailing Through the 80s was the motto of
DEC's Large Computer Group (LCG), maker of the 36-bit DECsystem-10 and
DECSYSTEM-20 timesharing computers. The sailboat logo was emblazoned on
stickers (left), coffee cups (above, click for enlargement), ash trays
(right), posters and ads until 1983, when the boat capsized. On the cups,
the sailboat has "10/20" written on the sail; d|i|g|i|t|a|l
logo at lower left.
