Welcome to Columbia's Chapter of Operation Smile!

Operation Smile is a non-profit organization which supports medical missions to 26 countries to perform corrective surgery on children with facial deformities.

Children with cleft lip and cleft palate can face complications involving feeding, ear infections and hearing loss, tooth development, speech and language, and psychological challenges (mayoclinic.com). Columbia University Operation Smile intends to build awareness about the condition and raise funds to combat it, educating students about the values of commitment, leadership, and volunteerism along the way.
