Arwin (aka Andrew) Bittern


BITTERN. Arwin (aka Andrew) Bittern, 46, of Weehawken, N.J., died Aug. 21 at his home of complications related to AIDS. He was born in Hartford, and graduated from the Loomis Institute, and Columbia University, New York City. Until his retirement in 1992, he was a vice president at Citibank. A lifelong musician, he remained active in the arts: music directing and stage managing several off- Broadway productions. He was an active member of the Temple for Buddhist Research and Learning. He is survived by his partner, Mark Kieran; his mother, Anna; and his sister, Diana. Contributions, in his memory, may be made to Body Positive, 19 Fulton St. 308B, New York, NY 10038.
