Values in Science and Technology

The shape of our society has been radically changed using the tools of science and technology, which are often thought of as separate from values discussions. In fact, issues of socioeconomic equity, democracy, and the meaning of being human will all be affected in the coming years by emerging technologies. The ways in which science and technology will be used to change the shape of society will be a reflection of the society's own goals and values.
