Site Location: THE FABRIC FOR IMAGINATION

The Proposal. A new urban Media-information Cultural Center on behalf of Washington Heights community is proposed in order to take the advantage of the existing structure of this building. For the feasibility of the project it is important not to make changes to the existing superstructure, but some empty spaces could be highly profitable by transforming some of the existing spaces, including the implementation of a new extraction system of "industrial chimneys" to take away the highway fumes. The program for this transformation is thought to be as public benefits, but the need of big investors comes out to a mix between public and private profitably areas, including a great variety of different uses for the community.
