The plan for this book
is to create a simple online page-turner for end
users.
Steps:
1) [Dave] Generate and post a preliminary image
gallery for these at a size that might work for
online reading (you may want to run samples by
Chengzhi first). Make sure the file names of the
images are visible on the page to facilitate #2
-- DONE
2) [Starr] [Dina] Create a structure & asset
map for the item based on the Microfilm -- DONE
3) [Dina] Creates revised structure & asset
map based on the orignal -- DONE
3) [Terry] Generate METS file and basic page
turner --
4) [SPD] Manually create page turner & look & feel
-- DONE, 4/7/2006
4) [SPD] Provide look & feel guidance;
create LWEB HTML "cover page"; recommend
where links to it should be in LWEB
5) [BibControl] Catalog electronic edition in CLIO
-- PENDING, 4/17/2006
Notes:
1) Dave/Chengzhi: Make sure that static jpegs
are the best approach to this type of material.
We could decide to use JPEG2000 instead if it would
make the text easier to read.
2) Chengzhi/Amy: The structure / asset map will
need to look something like the one posted here:
