Bob Haas and I, as I think I told you, owned this business
together and did ever since 1936 when Haas joined us. Then,
when Haas retired...
Was it thirty-three and a third each?
How did he go about...? Did he pay you a certain amount
of money? How did you get that originally?
Yes. Well, he contributed his business, Smith and Haas.
I'm trying to remember what year that was--and if he invested
additional cash at the time.
We have that already on tape.
He retired in 1956. He came in about 1936. Bob Haas
in 1956 decided that he wanted to retire and do philanthropic
