Q:

But it's frightening. Just think...this plane...you just don't know.

Cerf:

Could have fallen down on us. A raid could have come. We could have been bombarded any moment.

Q:

Did you ever find Thompson's son?

Cerf:

We found him and brought him out.

Q:

How was he? Was he all right?

Cerf:

Yes. He had a bad leg, but he was all right.

Q:

Did you disperse all of your chocolates and cigarettes?

Cerf:

Of course. We became absolute heroes. Of course.

Jo immediately did a bust of Del Vayo. Del Vayo and Negrin were the president and the prime minister of Republican Spain, and we met them at once. I told you that we were heroes.

Q:

I know. What an exciting...

Cerf:

Then I went out with Malraux one day where they were shooting the picture of Man's Fate.

Q:

They could do that there then?
