Something from Showbill, something by Joe Hill Something that's grand, something that's great. For instance at Blue Cross, you lower its rate. Something that's grand, something that's neat For instance a street fair on 42nd Street. Duffy will try it, Biddle will buy it Golodner will say that they are right! There's no need to borrow for a brighter tomorrow Humanities tonight! That's it. Q:

Did you sing this?

Foner:

I sang this to a staff meeting of 1199, yes. That's the extent of the singing. Then I sent it around to the people at the endowments.

Q:

You never sang it in front of the people at the endowments.

Foner:

No. I told you about the time I went to the endowment, to the NEH, to put on my show with the videotape where the sound went off.

Q:

And you had to narrate it.

Foner:

Yes.

Q:

Okay.

Foner:

All right? Okay. Enough, enough.
