Q:

Just for the record, is Stanley Geller Jewish?

Koch:

Oh, yes, he's Jewish.

Q:

All right. Is there anything more that you would like to add to the buildup for the second race for district leader to resolve the contested election? Were there any differences in that campaign from the first one or was it just a retread?

Koch:

Well, I really didn't know what was going to happen. I felt depressed. You must understand: I always worried about running against Carmine. I don't know whether we touched on it when we were last together -- the fear that comes out of opposing Carmine.

Q:

You mentioned the fear and the thought at least that violence was possible.

Koch:

Yes, and the one incident of this flower pot coming down -- did I mention that?

Q:

I don't believe you mentioned the flower pot.
