got on the phone and I told him about the letter, and he said, “Why are you giving anything to her? Do you like her better than you like me?” and I said, “Well, it's her family name. Besides the letter is from Jefferson explaining that since he's out of office he no longer has any influence with the federal government.” The President said, “Come to think of it, neither have I,” which reminded me that all Presidents only think about their lack of success with somebody or something, never about the success they have in office.

Not only Presidents but individuals.

Lasker:

Yes.
