Q:

She's 77. what about his wife?

Lasker:

I didn't meet her. I'm sure she's very bright and works very hard and she's attractive. I hear she and the mother-in-law don't get along, but I don't know whether that's true or not. I suppose that would be natural to expect

I did make a visit to California in the last half of February and March, and I did enjoy myself very much then.

Q:

Did you take a house again?

Lasker:

I took a house. Rosalind Russell I saw frequently. She had a late cancer of the breast which was arrested by the combination of drugs, and I hope it will last. It happened as a result of her husband calling me up to ask me what to do, that she was dying and they said there was nothing they could do for her, and he couldn't believe it, so he called me and I got him in touch with Dr. Di Vita who told them who to talk to at another hospital at Los Aggeles, and Rosalind got the combination of drugs, CMF, and she was able to go home in two weeks, and she was all right, going to parties when I was there.

Q:

And they had given her up.
