Q:

Yes. We will insert at this point the memo that you prepared for the President.

Lasker:

Yes, and his remarks at a meeting of medical and hospital leaders in the East Room of the White House on June 15th. My memo was written on June 14th. You will see that his remarks are an improvisation on my memo. And the truth is that the President's point of view and mine are practically identical about this, the without having gone through all the hell that I have, to find all this out, he knows by intuition and really wants to do it, if it's brought to his attention.

Q:

Yes, and he has benefited by what you're gone through to acquire this knowledge.

Lasker:

Well, he hasn't benefited yet, but I hope he will.
