Q:

Can you take aspirin without bad effects?

Lasker:

Yes.

Q:

You're lucky.

Lasker:

Why? Do you have bad effects?

Q:

I can't take it.

Lasker:

Can't take it? Oh, dear.

Q:

It gives me near ulcers and that kind of thing.

Lasker:

How terrible!

Q:

Well, I shall always remember that magnificent entry you made to the luncheon at the St. Regis in a wheelchair.

Lasker:

When was that? That was in November.

Q:

That was in November, about the 20th of November, something like that. That was a magnificent entrance, I must say. It was dramatic in the extreme, and it wasn't intended as that, but it turned out that way, with people on their feet and everybody thrilled to death.
