Mrs. Lasker:

Well, Mike Feldman says he's going to write one. I don't know whether Manning will publish it or not. I hope Mike writes it. I asked Manning to have lunch with me. He got out of it, and then recently Feldman asked him to have lunch with me, called me about having lunch, and I haven't heard from him. So -

It seems to me that's the way to go about it, to have a companion article that states the truth.

Mrs. Lasker:

Yes. Well, I hope that Feldman will write it. Feldman says he will and Manning I suppose will look at it. This woman obviously -- you see, naturally people in science have to feel that something that's being done in their behalf must be wrong if they didn't think of it and do it. It's suspect --

Q:

It's suspect if it isn't promoted by a scientific mind.

Mrs. Lasker:

That's right, yes, and the fact that they got the enefit of non-scientists and non-scientists' money, (that means the money of the whole people of the United states) is extremely annoying to them, you know. They have to feel hostile to this, a few people. Most of them don't know where it came from and
