Part:         Session:         Page of 999

It was gay and everybody looked very well, But that's all I can remember about it.

Well, so that is that. If I think of anything terrific --

Q:

-- did you play any part at allan the campaign?

Lasker:

Well, I gave an awful lot of money, to Mr. Humpheey and to numerous Senators and Congressmen.

Q:

Did many of those you booked come through?

Lasker:

Well, certainly Mr. Humphrey got my largest contribution, and that was lost, in the sense that he lost. I supported Senator Morse, for instance, and he lost, But I've supported Yarborough before, and Yarborough got the committee chairmanship, so actually I'm not sure that Morse would have done much more than Yarborough will. I just don't know about that. I did support Morse. I supported in the House and Mrs. Hanson, and -- you know, I always support a number of people, I have for the last 20 years, and some of them have won and some of them have lost.

Q:

Your main interest really is in medical things.

Lasker:

Yes, but also often my criterion is Just, will they be good for the country? Or are they liberal Democrats?
