Q:

Well, your principal --

Lasker:

-- this is thrilling. You're so sweet to bring me that. Will you tell your friend that I deeply appreciate his letter?

Q:

I will. I'll tell him the circumstances under which I gave it to you. I did that rather than bother to send it.

Lasker:

Wonderful.

Q:

So you have your work set out for you in 1971

Lasker:

Oh boy, I certainly have.

Q:

I hope you'll go after it with your usual gusto.

Lasker:

Hah! Well, we'lltry.

That alcoholism thing could be very important. I had really nothing to do with it, except that I brought Mike and Senator Hughes together, and that we pay Mike's salary, out a fee and he really put his heart into it. But I had nothing personal to do with it. But it's part of our operation really. Because Mike wouldn't be working at it if it hadn't been that I was paying him.

Q:

Yes. Is there anything in the realm of drug addiction that you're interested in and working on now?
