Lasker:

Things you wouldn't believe weren't done with -- of thousands of people in volnes which eaued benefit everybody. Extraordinary. But what's everybody's business seems to be nobody's business. Senator Yarborough was very very pathetec. We has a deep sense of humanity and it's a shame to lose him.

Q:

It's a great loss for the cause in the Senate. Who is actually going to be the stalwart in his stead?

Lasker:

We hope Senator Williams of New Jersey.

Q:

He's a former alcoholic?

Lasker:

Yes. He's been helped by Senator Hughes. Isn't that interesting? Really. Marvelous, isn't it?

Q:

It certainly is, to have anybody get off of the -- there's AA working within the Senate itself. So you expect he will be one stalwart?

Lasker:

He'll be the chairman of the committee, and I don't know who will be chairman of the subcommittee. Maybe Teddy Kennedy. If Teddy's the chairman it will be wonderful, for Teddy really has a feel for health He really does. (We because that in )
