Oakes:

- Interest myself - from [Chris] Argyris, a letter from Argyris, dated November 22nd, 1974, in which he regrets having switched some of these letters around, in the effort to maintain total anonymity in this.

And he says, after the fact, that he thinks that switch was not a good idea.

Q:

Switching the initials?

Oakes:

Yes. Yes, but he did it. He wrote really regretting it.

Q:

He did it at your instigation, didn't he?

Oakes:

Yes, at my urging, that's right.

Q:

Were there others whose initials were switched or just yours?

Oakes:

I really don't know if there were others.

Q:

R is the same all the way through and P is the same all the way through.
