the house, to our house, first to S Street and later to Hockley, to the many parties we had there. That's where she met Phil Graham, one of my housemates, and immediately fell for him. He was one of the most brilliant people I've ever known, but also extremely erratic. Extremely.
Oh, yes.
Extremely. I mean, even then one could tell, although he was brilliant and could be very charming and bright. And she fell head over heels. And that's really the -- whether I ever would have married or got engaged to Kay, I don't know. There has been stuff published indicating that we were engaged, we were about to get married or something. That's not true, but we were good friends, and I dated her quite a bit. That's really the whole story.
It's perfectly true that one night Phil said to me, “I have something to tell you. Kay and I are going to get married.” I didn't even know that they'd been going out. [laughs]
I was a little taken aback, but I said, “Phil, I think that that's wonderful.” And that was that.
That's great. Thanks. Alright. We'll stop for today now.
