We are Orisha Pan African Dance!

Mission Statement:

Orisha is a pan-African dance and drumming ensemble governed by and consisting of undergraduate students presently enrolled at Columbia University in the City of New York. The group blends styles of dance and music of pan-African influence in order to demonstrate that people from Africa and the African Diaspora are "dancing to the same beat". Through performances and campus programming, the members of Orisha seek to increase appreciation and awareness of the cultural beauty and richness of the peoples of the African Diaspora.
