University Seminar on Early American History and Culture

The Seminar on Early American History and Culture was established in 1966 as a part of the
Columbia University "University Seminar" movement, which began in 1945.
There are now 75 University Seminars hosted by Columbia, on topics ranging from Modern China to Ancient Medicine.

All meetings of the 2011-12 school year will be held at Columbia's Faculty House, including drinks, the meeting proper, and dinner following the meeting. The Faculty House is located at 64 Morningside Drive, north of 116th street. Members are invited to arrive at the Faculty House at 5:00 to meet at the "Ivy Lounge" on the Garden Level, have a drink and get acquainted. The meeting will start at 5:30 in Seminar Room #2 in the corner of the second floor. Dinner will be served at 7:15 in the Dining Room on the fourth floor.
