Welcome to Sikh Students Association

The Sikh Students Association (SSA) was formed less than a decade ago with a vision of unifying Sikhs at Columbia and educating the campus about the Sikh Faith and its followers. The Sikh Faith is the 5th largest faith in the world, with nearly twenty-four million followers. Sikhism shares with the world a message of truth, remembrance of One God at all times, universal equality- irrespective of race, gender, wealth, religion, origin and social standing. Aspiring to hold to these principles, the Columbia Sikh Students Association partakes in activities geared upon Sewa (selfless service), bringing awareness to issues facing the Sikh community and making positive connections with fellow human beings all while sharing the divine message of love and justice for all.
