Barbara Silverstone '78PhD Honored by Columbia University
Barbara Silverstone '78PhD was recently honored as one of the Columbia University Alumni Medalists for 2012. Among her many volunteer roles, Barbara played a lead role in the conversion of the DSW to PhD. Barbara was recognized at Columbia University Commencement and will be among the honorees at a gala dinner in the fall. Congratulations Barbara! Full details.

Hall of Fame Awards Presented at Alumni Day 2012
Six alumni were inducted into the CUSSW Alumni Association Hall of Fame on Alumni Day 2012. Recipients include Phyllis Caroff '47 '69PhD, Douglas Glasgow '61DSW, and Murali Nair '79PhD. CUSSW Grad Sings National Anthem at CU Commencement
Anthony Riello '12 sang the National Anthem on the steps of Low Library at University Commencement in front of a crowd of twenty thousand. Anthony was an Army captain and studied opera at New England Conservatory of Music. He says of his experience at Columbia, "...fantastic."
