Newsweek Senior Editor Addresses Columbia

The Third Eisenhower Forum Event

On November 29, 2005, Jonathan Alter, Newsweek Senior Editor and columnist, addressed the Columbia community as the third speaker for the Eisenhower Forum speaking series. The senior editor at Newsweek discussed the Libby indictment and continuing CIA leak investigation.

Over forty students, faculty members, and invited guests enjoyed Mr. Alter's hour long address. Following his speech, attendees asked the journalist various questions relating to media accuracy and responsibility, the blogging phenomenon, White House politicking, and the CIA leak investigation. Pastries from the Hungarian Pastry were enjoyed by attendees following this event.

This event was covered by Columbia University Television.
